This privacy notice (Privacy Notice or The Date Crew Privacy Policy) governs the collection, use, disclosure, transfer or otherwise processing of your personal information by OAK Connections LLP (us, we, our, Company) in connection with the following services offered by the Company:

When you avail our Services, we may collect some information from you. By accepting the terms of this Privacy Notice, you hereby expressly provide your consent to us for the collection, usage, disclosure, transfer and otherwise processing of such information in the manner outlined in this Privacy Notice.
Although we want as many people as possible to enjoy our creation, you have to be at least 18 years old to use the App and participate in The Date Crew Experiences or make any use of the Services. The Date Crew does not knowingly collect any information about or market to children, minors or anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that a child, minor or anyone under the age of 18 has registered with us and provided us with personal information, we will take steps to terminate that person’s registration. Please contact the Grievance Officer via email (details provided below) to notify us immediately.
We are committed to protecting the security of your information and safeguarding your privacy and this Privacy Notice inter alia sets out and clarifies the following:
What information we collect;
Why we collect such information;
How we use that information and who we share the information with;
How we store such information; and
Your rights and options.
When you fill the form or ‘get started with The Date Crew’ form. This is the form you fill to apply to or express an interest in The Date Crew’s Services (matchmaking, App, The Date Crew Experiences, other events etc.)
In order to identify you, create your profile (once you sign up), offer marketing or Service offerings to you, including matchmaking, whether before or after you start using the App, or to attend The Date Crew Experiences or other events.
When you share information about yourself to create a profile. This is the form you fill to tell The Date Crew about yourself.
When you share your partner preferences. This is the form you fill to tell The Date Crew about your preferences in a potential partner.
In order to allow other users to learn more about your preferences in connection with providing Service offerings to you, including matchmaking, whether before or after you start using the App, or to attend The Date Crew Experiences or other events.
When you share media for your profile. This is the form you fill to share your pictures or videos for sharing of potential ‘connections’. You have to submit a minimum of 3 pictures mandatorily (or as prescribed by the matchmaking process), and additional pictures or videos are optional.
In order to help other users identify you on your profile and to ensure that your profile is unique to your identification in connection with the matchmaking Services provided to you.
We may collect pictures and videos of you when you attend The Date Crew Experiences.
For the purposes of marketing activities in connection with The Date Crew Experiences, including publicizing The Date Crew Experiences on our social media profiles or other forums.
This information is metadata, which is collected when you choose to access any of The Date Crew’s platforms.
To carry out analytics and other processes to provide you with uninterrupted Services and improve our services
Collected when you make calls or exchange messages with other members on the App.
In order to facilitate communication between you and other services in connection with the matchmaking Services provided to you, and to carry out analytics
Information provided by you for making payments for our Services.
In order to process payment for The Date Crew’s Services
When you undertake our security process for verification prior to being granted The Date Crew membership.
To verify your identity
You may choose to provide your Aadhaar information to us for identification purposes. However, please note that this is not mandatory, and you may provide alternative identification documents such as Driver’s license, PAN card, Voter’s ID or passport. If you voluntarily choose to provide your Aadhaar information to us, you hereby expressly provide your consent to the collection and processing of your Aadhaar information by the Company for the purposes of identity verification and acknowledge that such Aadhaar information was voluntarily provided by you and may be shared with third-party service providers for the purpose of verifying your identity.
We may also use the various categories of information listed above, where necessary for one or more of the following purposes:
To comply with the Company’s legal obligations;
For the Company’s internal business purposes listed below:
To communicate with you, such as to respond to and/or follow-up on your grievances, complaints, requests, inquiries, issues or feedback, and to provide customer service;
To improve services of the App;
For marketing and promotional purposes;
To provide ancillary services;
To conduct research and analytics; and
To assist in internal investigations, voluntary probes, assessment of complaints, claims or allegations, audits, or to substantiate legal claims, and for proceedings.
You have the right to (a) access and review the information about the processing of your information; (b) seek correction, completion, updating or erasure of your information; (c) have your grievances resolved; and (d) nominate another individual to exercise your rights in case of your death or incapacity. All request for any of these rights should be directed to the Grievance Officer (whose details are mentioned below in Section 9) appointed by the Company via email.
We may ask you to take additional steps, including but not limited to re-verifying your account or creating a new account (or any other manner prescribed by the Company), in order to fulfill certain requests. This process may require submitting documentation demonstrating revised personal information, for which fresh verification may be conducted; if re-verification is not feasible, we may suggest deleting your account and creating a new profile to verify the updated data.
We will also inform you if we are unable to delete your information for any reason, particularly in case we require such information to continue providing Services to you or for any of the purposes listed in Section 2 of this Privacy Notice. You will at all times have the ability to delete your account, and if you choose to do so, we will delete all information you have provided to us in accordance with the The Date Crew Privacy Policy, unless we are required to retain it by law.
If you have given your consent for the processing of your information for specific purposes, you can withdraw this consent at any time by contacting the Grievance Officer via email. Please note, however, that this may affect our ability to offer Services to you. In some cases, if we are not allowed to process your information, we may need to terminate the Services we provide to you, which may result in the deletion of your account by us.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint via email with the Grievance Officer (details provided below), and subsequently to the Data Protection Board, in case your complaint remains unresolved.
We have implemented reasonable security measures and appropriate technical and organizational measures in line with legally required standards.
We adhere to industry-standard practices to safeguard personal data and regularly review and update our security protocols to mitigate risks and prevent data breaches. Moreover, access to your personal information is carefully managed within the Company and shared on a need-to-know basis. However, please understand that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, hacking, data loss, or other breaches will never occur.
The Company will strictly control access to the information and will review such access control from time to time. We will retain and use your information until (a) the purpose of processing such information is achieved, and when the purpose is achieved, such information will be removed from our systems or anonymised; or (b) you withdraw your consent for the processing of such information in accordance with your rights mentioned above.
The Company may retain the information for a longer period if such retention is required or permitted by law.
All information that we collect may be disclosed or transferred under the following circumstances, to the categories of entities identified below:
Your information may be disclosed or transferred to our corporate affiliates, including but not limited to The Date Crew group companies, subsidiaries, or any future partners or entities, in connection with providing Services, to the extent applicable;Your information may be disclosed or transferred to vendors, service providers and other third-party entities engaged by the Company to provide services such as user registration, verification, and communication such as email, in-app or whatsapp etc;
Your information may further be disclosed or transferred by such third-party entities engaged by the Company, to private entities such as educational institutions or employers, for the purposes of identity verification;
Your information may be disclosed or transferred to payment service providers in order to process your payments in connection with the Services;
Your information may be disclosed or transferred to dashboard and analytics vendors for the purposes of gathering analytics on the App and/or the website;
Your information may be disclosed and transferred to respond to law enforcement requests or where required to be provided under applicable laws, court orders, or government regulations; and
Where we need to share your information with any other third parties, we will obtain your consent before doing so.
These Terms are drafted in English and translations may be provided in other languages upon your request. To request a translated version, submit a request via email to the Grievance Officer (details provided below), and if feasible, your request will be addressed within 30 working days of submission.
We may revise the Privacy Notice from time to time. Any such changes will be posted on our website at The Date Crew Privacy Policy. We may need your consent for material updates to this notice.
